  • This signal head can be used with any of our Signal Ground Mast Assemblys to create your own unique Tri-Light signal build. The kit consist of two resin parts, brass photo etch and detailed instructions. Our N Scale Tri-Light LED Assembly kit #LED0010 (must be purchased separately) is specifically designed to fit into this signal head perfectly to make lighting this signal head easier. Please see the instructions tab for more information.

This "Tri-Light"signal head is based on the GRS Type G as well as other Safetran and US&S designations. We decided to use the same "nickname" as found on the "Railroad Signals of the US" website for clarity.

For a step by step tutorial build please see Peter Borcherds professional video or click the video tab. This video was made using the Color-Light signal head and mast assembly instead of this Tri-Light assembly, but many helpful build tips will be gained by watching this video.

    • Prototypical Trilight Signal
This signal matches an Illinois central signal that I have seen.  Since I model the Illinois central, it’s perfect for my layout.
